Välja sõit / Fieldnotes
Välja sõit (“Field Trip”) is an art-themed YouTube series by Sandra Jõgeva, launched in early 2026. It focuses on art happening off the mainstream, both geographically and otherwise. The series visits small and artist-run galleries, rural exhibitions, studios and events that larger media usually overlook. Each episode is a short report from the site, showing the exhibition, its makers, the artists and the audience as they really are.
Episodes so far include MIGA Microgallery in Tartu, the newly opened KolkjART gallery in Kolkja village and Peeter Allik’s 60th anniversary exhibition. Upcoming episodes will visit temporary and disappearing art spaces, such as Keskpuur gallery at Tallinn’s Central Market.
The series is supported by the Malle Leis Estate, run by the artist’s heirs Sandra and Henrik Jõgeva. The Estate preserves Malle Leis’ creative legacy, presents the Malle Leis Award to a woman artist every five years, and runs an artist residency in Molini di Triora, Liguria, Italy.
