“Pied-à-terre” is a solo installation exhibition by artist Sandra Jõgeva, which opened on 23 October 2025 in Tallinn at 36 Lai Street, in the artist’s studio.
It is a playful and philosophical exploration of the body, movement, and desire, focusing, among other things, on feet and footwear (the so-called “foot fetish” theme). The foot videos were filmed in the summer of 2025 at various locations: Tallinn, Klooga, Tartu, Nice, San Remo; the villages of Triora, Cetta, and Molini di Triora and elsewhere in the mountains of northern Italy in the Liguria region. This was an exclusive, short-term exhibition that was open only from 24 October to 2 November 2025.
The “Pied-à-terre” project has continued since then and has been filmed in Venice, Tartu, Varnja, Pärnu, Benalmádena and Málaga in Spain, as well as in Casablanca, Morocco.
“Pied-à-terre” has been showcased both on social media (YouTube, OnlyFans) and, most recently, in the form of three video installations at the Mikrogalerii in Tartu at Sandra Jõgeva’s solo exhibition “Do You Know What Happened to Hanif Kureishi?” from 9 May to 26 July 2026.
The “Pied-à-terre” project is currently continuing in the form of foot videos, filmed at various art exhibitions.
